I am from Utah, I love South Carolina, and I now live in Idaho. I have a BA in history from Utah State University, a MA in American history from the College of Charleston/Citadel, and a teaching certificate from Lewis-Clark State College; the best “small” college in Idaho. I am a new teacher and love living in the commonwealth of Idaho, where there are still some wide open spaces left.
The title of the blog comes from the eighteenth century political philosopher and die hard republican Algernon Sidney, who was executed for allegedly plotting against Charles II. His work, Discourses Concerning Government was used as a witness against him. If kings and tyrants hate such a work what more could recommend them for our consideration?
